Robin Platt 1962年南非出生，於倫敦的 College of Furniture 學習家具設計，於1989年贏得 New Designers Award，是過去十年內最成功的英國設計師之一。Cairn Young 1963年美國加州出生，畢業於倫敦的 Kingston University。兩人於倫敦成立了自己的工作室，對於天然有機形式有著無比的愛好，用自己獨特的方式將流動的曲線和輕鬆的線條加入各式作品之中。
1998年為 Sawaya & Moroni 設計的銀製水果盤 Wavy，引領兩人走向產品設計和餐具的設計的領域。Robin Platt & Cairn Young 這個雙人設計團隊和不少知名品牌設計家具產品，Sawaya & Moroni、Driade、Magis、Rosenthal、WMF、Koziol。
2001年 Robin Platt 帶著妻小搬到了法國的小鄉村 Pyrennes，雙人設計組就這樣走著各自時而合作、時而獨行的設計路。
